Yes. He consistently plays good only against the bottom 2 teams of each division, then consistently disappears when playing top teams. That consistency shows when he's up against joker, bam, embiid, etc..

He only had a bad shooting 4th quarter that basically ruined the stats. But with a guy that averages over 40% 3pt it mathematically makes more sense to chug a bunch of 3's than actually trying for 2's. He still delivered on other aspects of the game, near triple double including a pass for the game winner to Kai. What matters is that Mavs can win on the road even if Luka has a below average game. Wasnt even below average he put out his average game just had an off night fg%

Lakers must be kicking themselves 😤
Just in the highlights, you can see how much their defensive effort and intensity improved later in the game. That's an effort issue, so Darvin must be really frustrated.
As soon as they turned it on and played to their strengths - energy, aggression and passing - they dominated. But, it was too late.
The 7-game run was good, and when they're clicking, they look like contenders. But, LeBron's the only one who's been consistent every night. You can't be a winning team like that.
Darvin has to do more right now to take full advantage of having a healthy AD (even though he was off last night) and LeBron. Especially considering how efficient LeBron's been from 3 point range - my God! 🥶 You can't guarantee that kind of production all season long, so they shouldn't waste it.
They should be way above 500. That would give them a bit of cushion in case one of their stars gets hurt, or needs rest. It's too risky to be lingering around the play-in spots.
It's a bad trend with the Lakers that a lot of the players seem to need extra pressure like big deficits or high stakes games to get fully motivated. They looked great last year when they were chasing a play-off spot. Then they out-performed expectations in the play-offs. This year, they're 4-0 in the NBA Cup. 😅 But, then they have those trash 1st quarters all year, and lose winnable games.
It's good to play well under pressure, but they make life so needlessly hard for themselves 🙃
They need less of these and more games like the one against Utah.
Well done if you made it to the end of this essay by the way 🎉 Can you tell my heart is struggling to cope with these close games? 😂
